2022 International Society of Thrombosis & Haematosis congress will be held in London

Amazing news – working in collaboration with the thrombosis and haemostasis community, NHS England and the Mayor of London, confirmation has just been received that the 2022 International Society of Thrombosis & Haematasis congress will be held in London!

This is a tremendous honour, and a massive achievement by all those involved.

A first in the history of ISTH, the London congress will be holding the first ever thrombosis patient and carer event at this globally important congress.

In April 2016 Jo was thrilled and honoured to be invited to become CEO of Thrombosis UK. A teacher for many years, Jo became involved in patient advocacy following her young daughter's diagnosis of a long-term condition.

Currently Jo sits as a Lay representative on NICE Indicators, West of England AHSN Patient Safety committee, and on research and project development groups.

A key objective for Thrombosis UK is to support, promote and inform research into blood clots.

We are seeking your support for our 2021 Thrombosis UK Research Appeal

Donations to the Thrombosis UK Research Appeal will be specifically be used to support research projects into understanding more about the causes, prevention and management of blood clots also known as thrombosis, deep vein thrombosis (DVT- blood clots usually formed in the legs), pulmonary embolism (PE - blood clots in the lungs) or venous thromboembolism, (VTE, both DVT + PE).
