Our thoughts and love are with Dawn’s family on the sad news of Dawn’s death.
After diagnosis of a cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST) Dawn made contact with Thrombosis UK. Determined to help others and raise awareness of blood clots, Dawn became a thrombosis advocate, helping and always looking for ways to increase understanding and awareness of the risks, signs and symptoms of blood clots.
In 2017 Dawn joined a group of Thrombosis UK ambassadors to take part in ‘Focus on Thrombosis’ – an awareness campaign sharing insight on the impact of thrombosis on individuals and that blood clots can affect anyone regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or health.
The poster campaign was exhibited in many UK hospitals and still continues with tens of thousands of posters being distributed with Dawn’s personal account highlighting the little-known cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST) .
Dawn’s positivity and determination to help others ‘live life without thrombosis taking over’ will be forever remembered with love and gratitude.
