Thrombosis UK host National Thrombosis Week annually, during the first full week of May.
EVERYONE CAN BE PART OF NATIONAL THROMBOSIS WEEK
Join in by helping to raise awareness.
Ideas:
- Request an awareness pack to exhibit in your local medical centre / hospital or work-place.
- Share awareness cards with friends, colleagues and in local centres to help everyone become more aware of thrombosis.
- Put up a poster in your local surgery, hospital or workplace.
- Share your blood clot story, with Thrombosis UK and via media and social media.
Your actions could help protect others and alert them to signs and symptoms.
Join to extend education.
Throughout May, Thrombosis UK host events and support local events. This includes:
- Information and support meetings for anyone who has been diagnosed with or is at risk of thrombosis.
- The popular NTW accredited virtual conference for healthcare and allied professionals.

Join to increase understanding and support.
There are lots of ways to support NTW.
- Add your voice and support others in the NTW ‘Coffee and Chat’ meetings.
- Involved in research about VTE? Exhibit or present your work in the NTW HCP conference.
