My name is Amber, I’m 26 years old and from Preston, Lancashire.

I was fortunate to have a great Dad called John who was kind, hardworking and hilarious.

Sadly, at the end of February, at the age of 63, Dad was diagnosed with a Pulmonary Embolism and passed away on 17^th March this year.

We’ll never know what caused Dad’s illness, but had we known the signs earlier, the outcome may have been different.

On June 25^th, me and my partner Arran are walking 21 miles to raise funds for Thrombosis UK – A charity close to my heart since losing Dad.

We take solace as a family in trying to help others – Raising awareness on blood clots and knowing the signs are so important.
