Congratulations Angelina – raising a remarkable £2,734.49p so far.
In the Spring/Summer of 2018 I’ll be cycling from London to Paris to raise money for Thrombosis UK, in memory of my mumma.
Thrombosis UK is dedicated to promoting awareness, research & care of Thrombosis, which is the general term for the formation of potentially deadly blood clots.
This is a cause that’s very dear to my heart because it’s how I lost my wonderful, beautiful mum Charlotte in March 2016, when she was just 47. The shock of such a sudden loss is indescribable – and it’s still unbelievably painful to think about what happened.
It’s my hope that by supporting Thrombosis UK and the important work they do, other families might be spared a similar tragedy.
Now, some of you reading this will be getting deja vu…. for those who are tuning in late, here’s what’s happened so far:
An enthusiastic newbie to cycling I set out to cycle to Paris in September 2017. I trained a lot, learned a lot, got lost a lot, and made a few friends along the way. UNTIL a couple of weeks before the big trip, I had to pull out, because I had damaged the ulnar nerve in my hand – while cycling 🙁
BUT as my hand is healing, I am keen to see this challenge to the end! Thrombosis UK is a small charity so your donation will make a really big difference.
So please, please sponsor me!!!!!! – JustGiving page
Huge huge thanks for your support
