The Leeds Half Marathon

The Leeds Half Marathon – which this year celebrates its 33rd outing - is firmly established as one of the highlights on Leeds’ sporting calendar thanks to its challenging course, enthusiastic crowds and fantastic atmosphere.

Around 9,000 signed up for last year's event raising hundreds of thousands of pounds for charities and good causes across Yorkshire and beyond.

The route starts in The Headrow alongside Victoria Gardens, heads out of the city centre, takes in a section of the Ring Road and returns via Abbey Road and Kirkstall Road before finishing in Cookridge Street alongside Millennium Square.

It forms part of the lasting legacy of the late Jane Tomlinson CBE who raised almost £2m for charity through a series of endurance challenges, despite being diagnosed with incurable cancer.
