Kington Langley Scarecrow Festival

On Sat 16 & Sun 17 June 2018 the normally quiet village of Kington Langley in North Wiltshire was once again buzzing to the sound of the annual scarecrow festival.

At the heart of the festival is the Scarecrow Trail, centred around the village green and about 1.5mls in total length. The theme for 2018 was "BOOKS", with 80 Scarecrows, each representing a different title, and all made by folks from the village and surrounding areas.

Thrombosis UK were nominated as this years chosen-charity and it was fantastic to be part of the Kington Langley Scarecrow Festival. Meeting so many visitors and locals, it was an honour and a pleasure to share information about thrombosis, marvel at the 80 scarecrows decorating the village and catch up with Radio Wiltshire, sharing information about blood clots. Thank you, Kington Langley!
