A COVID-19 vaccination available before the close of 2020 has brought a glimmer of light in an exceptionally challenging and painful year of the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, in the hard work to rapidly support and optimise skills across multiple healthcare roles and successfully deliver the NHS’s most ambitious vaccination programme, we are in danger of tripping up on wording that could inadvertently exclude a considerable high-risk cohort of patients spanning all age groups – those prescribed anticoagulants.
