Once more unto the breach

Once more unto the breach

OK, the moment of no return has arrived! I am now officially starting the Step Up To Stop Clots challenge. I have my plan in place and hopefully things will fall in to place as I wish them to. Last week was an unmitigated disaster in terms of my goals (see my Fitbit dashboard), so this week I will have to 110% effort.

I have been very fortunate that T’UK has accommodated my burgeoning spinal problems - another reason I’m not as active as I should be - by furnishing me with a rise and fall workstation, which I could use to my advantage by walking on the spot when I am standing (about 10 minutes every hour). This is something else I’m afraid I have largely put by the by as it can be a bit of a pain to get up every hour on the hour and lift it, especially when I’m engrossed, so I tend to ignore the timer when it goes off, often to my detriment by the end of the day.

I could use online walking sessions on the Net that you can walk and listen to rather than walk and watch because they tell you when to change up your moves and there are some very good 15 minutes sessions – in fact, there are some as short as 5 minutes - so no excuses whatsoever. I just have to get past the typically over-enthusiastic American voice! That way I can still work but get in some steps at the same time.

Well, that’s the cunning Baldrick style plan – let’s put it into action and #StepUpToStopClots
