Martin's MarkLogic London office to Paris office charity bike ride

On the 3rd May 2018 I woke to find that may beloved wife and partner of 27 years, Alexandra had passed away from what was later found to be a massive pulmonary embolism caused by a deep vein thrombosis, the silent killer.

Thrombosis and pulmonary embolisms are not uncommon and remain a global health issue, affecting thousands of people in the UK. Yet Thrombosis and PE's remain a major cause of death in the UK and many people have little or no understanding about the causes and effects of thrombosis, and how it can be prevented.

Between the 6th and 8th September I shall be joining work colleagues in a charity cycle ride between our London and Paris office to raise money for Thrombosis UK and other worthy charities.

The VTE Grand Appeal Thrombosis UK is dedicated to promoting research into VTE. Help us fund much needed research into the cause, prevention and treatment of VTE.
