Hollie’s Olympic Triathlon

I appreciate anyone taking the time out of their busy day to have a read through what I’m doing and why.

At the beginning of June 2018 myself and my friends received some devastating and heart breaking news. My close friend Jo had suddenly and tragically Passed away.

She had suffered a pulmonary embolism, due to blood clots that had traveled to her lungs.

Jo was a loving wife to Mick and a fantastic mother to her beautiful daughter Annalise, she also meant a huge amount to myself and my friends and impacted our lives every single day with her witty personality, her huge heart and her cracking banter.

Thrombosis remains a major cause of death in the UK yet many people have little or no understanding about the causes and effects of thrombosis and how it can be prevented. Therefore I have chosen to raise as much awareness and money for the charity Thrombosis UK.

On September 16th 2018 I competed in an Olympic triathlon which consists of a 1500m open water swim, a 26 mile bike and a 10k run all in aid of Thrombosis UK and in memory of my lovely friend Jo.

Thank you so much to anyone taking the time to read this and donate it means so much and I am so grateful.
