In August 2024 Olivia and members of her family embarked on a walk to climb Mount Snowdon in memory of their uncle.
The initial date for the walk was unfortunately postponed due to poor weather conditions, but August not only gave them good weather, it also helped them to extend their fundraising target and double their original target to raise over a massive £500 for Thrombosis UK!
Their journey took a full day – walking six hours 20 minutes, climbing the Llanberis Path to the top of Snowdon, but as Olivia says:
“We were determined to raise money for an amazing charity, Thrombosis UK which is very close to our hearts.
After not thinking we’d make it up without injuries we did and I’m so proud of us all.
Thank you for everyone who donated we can’t thank you enough, and to everyone at Thrombosis UK, a massive thank you for giving us our amazing T-shirts to wear in honour of our uncle who we lost early this year. Forever grateful.
Such an amazing charity to raise awareness🫶🏽’’
