NIHR Partner Criteria
As set out in the Eligibility Criteria for NIHR Clinical Research Network Support effective from 1 September 2023, NIHR non-commercial Partners are those organisations that:
• Award research funds as a result of open competition across England with high quality peer review; and
• Fund research that is of clear value to the NHS, social care or public health; and
• Take appropriate account of the priorities, needs and realities of the NHS, social care or public health in making decisions about the research that they fund.
We include patient, medical professionals and lay supporters on our research grant committee to review all applications.
Our grants are limited and those seeking less than the maximum level are welcomed.
