kilometre, 10 day cycle from the Pacific to the Caribbean coast of Costa
Rica, in hopes of raising enough money in aid of Thrombosis UK.

Keen cyclist and TUK trustee, Simon Hart, took part in the Dulux London Revolution cycling challenge in May, riding 185 miles through and around London over 2 days, followed in July by the Prudential Ride London-Surrey 100 mile sportive.
On June 18th 2016 I will ride over 500 miles nonstop from Inverness, across to the West coast of Scotland and navigate the whole of the North coast, before returning to Inverness.
In 2011 Abi developed multiple clots in her lungs and was taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary where they managed to resuscitate her. No cause was found for her developing thrombosis at that time, but she was put on life-long anticoagulation. In February 2015, just a few days after her 22nd birthday Abi collapsed in the middle of a dinner party: sadly, despite medic’s valiant attempts to revive her, she did not survive.
Has raised over £1,000 to date in memory of Kerry Whelan, beloved husband and father, who sadly passed away due to pulmonary embolism. Angela is also working to increase awareness of VTE as, like many people who contact us, she had little to now knowledge of it before Kerry sadly died.
Blake is back to fundraise for us for a second year. He completed an Autumn Monster Race in September 2017 in memory his Nannie who died on 3rd August 2016, raising over £650, and is signed up to do a Summer Wolf Run in June 2018.
On the 2nd July 2017 Sarah lost her sister Jolene, only 23, suddenly due to a pulmonary embolism. She left behind two young children. The whole family have been raising money in her memory since then and have raised over £2,000 so far.
Cycling from London to Paris in memory of her Mum, Charlotte, who died in March 2016 aged just 47. Had to drop out last year due to injury, but back to smash it in 2018!
